RAINBOWS IN THE SKIES

 

 

There’s rainbows in the skies right there before my eyes

Such a splendid sight to see

The rain has gone away it’s now a brighter day

And heaven has smiled on me

 

I take up with the flow I stop to say hello

To the people that I meet

Upon my face a gleam I’m living out a dream

And they know it down the street

 

There’s things you cannot hide the way that they’re applied

And my face is all a-glow

I have that certain look they read me like a book

And it’s everywhere I go

 

The picture is so clear the minute I appear

And they make it all so plain

I might as well deny there’s clouds up in the sky

And I’ve ever seen the rain

 

So let that rain descend the storm will quickly end

And it comes as no surprise

I’ll never come apart with so much in my heart

And those rainbows in the skies
